Meet Our Executive Board
Kate Johnson: president
Kate Johnson is a senior from Oklahoma City studying political science and environmental policy. Serving as Vice President last year and now stepping into her role as Co-President, Kate has seen how GES has created a space for Delegates from across the world to connect, collaborate, and turn bold ideas into tangible change. She loves how each year brings a new wave of perspectives, challenges, and creative solutions, and how the Summit fosters not just dialogue but lasting partnerships. She is most looking forward to working closely with our amazing executive team and with the delegates to expand the ways GES supports innovative, socially conscious projects as well as continue growing a platform where diverse voices can meet and leave inspired to take action in their own communities.
Emma Siskind: president
Emma Siskind is a senior from New York City studying journalism, integrated marketing communications, and business institutions. Emma joined GES her freshman year because of the unique opportunity the club offers to learn from and help foster growth for young social entrepreneurs around the world. She loves seeing the hard work that goes into creating the summit come to fruition, and values getting to know the delegates, their backgrounds, and their innovative endeavors. After serving on the executive board for the last two years first as Vice President of External Relations and most recently as Director of Logistics, Emma is excited to step into her role as Co-President this year and can’t wait to lead an innovative and meaningful 2026 summit.
MAYA WESTRA: vice president
Maya Westra is a junior from New York City studying Industrial Engineering. She loves GES because it is a great opportunity to connect with young adults from around the world, and learn about different social issues. She says it is so interesting learning about everyone’s projects, and it is exciting to see the positive impact that GES can create.
JACLYN BOXER: BUDGETING & INTERNAL GRANT CHAIR
Jaclyn Boxer is a junior from Vancouver, British Columbia studying politics, business institutions, and legal studies. Jaclyn describes her time in GES as both enriching and fun. She enjoys working throughout the year to create the best summit possible and finds it incredibly rewarding to see it all come to life in one incredible week. Her favorite part of GES is serving as a Small Group Facilitator, where she builds close relationships with delegates from around the world—learning about their social ventures and forming meaningful, lasting connections.
BLYTHE COLEMAN: DIRECTOR OF LOGISTICS
Blythe Coleman is a junior from Evanston, Illinois studying psychology and business institutions. This past year, she said it was incredibly impressive watching the exec team pull together such an impactful conference. This year, she is looking forward to the annual pitch competition and understanding how and why our next round of delegates came up with their projects.
ELLIE ADAMS: director of OPERATIONS
Ellie Adams is a senior from New York City studying political science and opera performance. What she values most about GES is the opportunity to work alongside dedicated, passionate, and driven students on meaningful projects that have a real impact on the world. She says the community at GES is inspiring, and that it is incredibly rewarding to see the result of GES’ collective efforts throughout the year at the summit. She can't wait for another amazing summit!
JOSIE HOROWITZ: SOCIAL CHAIR
Josie Horowitz is a sophomore from New York City. Josie loves GES because of the diverse perspectives and experiences that the summit brings together. By speaking with such a wide assortment of people, she has learned about new perspectives and grown in ways uniquely special to GES. This year, she is looking forward to increasing this experience and learning more about a variety of new members and delegates.
ALLIE GOULD: DIRECTOR OF CONTENT
Allie Gould is a senior from Miami, Florida studying communication studies, history, and legal studies. Allie joined GES to be surrounded by driven, inspiring individuals and to have the opportunity to create high-impact programming that continues to inspire delegates long after the summit ends. This year, she is most looking forward to collaborating with her team to craft a lineup that excites and empowers everyone involved in creating and attending the summit.
SYDNEY WILLIAMS: FACILITATOR & JUDGE RECRUITMENT CHAIR
Sydney Williams is a senior from Hercules, California studying earth and planetary sciences and entrepreneurship. Since her freshman year, she has loved being a part of a globally oriented community and working with students who are passionate about social impact to create a meaningful summit. Each year, she is excited to connect with the delegates and is inspired by the impact they’re making in their communities.
AVERY GOLUB: DIRECTOR OF EXTERNAL RELATIONS
Avery Golub is a senior from Newton, Massachusetts studying neuroscience with a focus in human behavior and cognition. She loves being a part of the ER team at GES because the team builds a community that extends beyond the club itself -- through a robust alumni network, Northwestern affiliates, and delegates from around the world. Each year, Avery says ER continues to grow and learn from one another, connecting people with incredibly diverse experiences and perspectives.
Juniper Shelley: Alumni relations chair
Juniper Shelley is a junior from Montclair, New Jersey studying social policy and international studies. Juniper believes the connections made in GES, both with club members and delegates, are unmatched. This year, she is eager to continue building the GES community.
isa vivona: DIRECTOR OF media & marketing
Isa Vivona is a senior from Chicago, Illinois studying biology and global health. Isa joined GES because she values collaboration and collective action, especially when addressing interconnected global challenges. She loves GES’s emphasis on youth leadership and is excited to continue meeting impressive, talented people. She finds it impossible to be part of GES without feeling inspired and learning something new every day!
henry park: brand outreach CHAIR
Henry is a junior from Chicago, Illinois studying data science and earning the Kellogg certificate in financial economics. Henry loves GES for its hands-on, purpose-driven work. He values how every committee, from booking to M&M, plays an essential role in shaping the Summit experience, ensuring there’s a place for everyone to make a meaningful contribution. Grateful to be part of such a special community in his new role as Brand Outreach Chair, he looks forward to making this year’s Summit even better than the last.
daniel leshem: DIRECTOR OF delegate outreach
Daniel is a senior from Highland Park, Illinois studying math, economics, and data science. He joined GES to help the exceptional delegates scale their ventures and solve the most pressing global issues!
Saraphina Wambi: delegate communications & logistics CHAIR
Saraphina Wambi is a sophomore from Overland Park, Kansas studying economics, data science, and global health. Saraphina feels that GES does an outstanding job of creating well-rounded, globally engaged, and thoughtful students, and she loves being part of it. She believes the Summit’s ability to share delegates’ experiences with the Northwestern community is extremely special.
kate danaher: director of finance
Kate Danaher is a senior from Lake Forest, Illinois studying economics and political science. Her favorite part of the Summit is GES’ annual pitch competition. She says it is such a cool way to see the triumphs and challenges for young entrepreneurs. Kate is excited to take on her new role as Director of Finance and cannot wait to meet this year’s delegates!
GRACE BRAY: FUNDRAISING & SPONSORSHIP chair
Grace Bray is a junior from Little Silver, New Jersey studying economics, political science, and environmental policy and culture. Grace loves GES because she finds it incredible that students can bring together such passionate delegates and leaders in social impact. She is continually inspired by the delegates who gather on campus and is excited to learn even more from them this year.
KATIE SEGERSON: BOOKINGS CHAIR
Katie Segerson is a junior from Manhattan Beach, California studying psychology and legal studies. What Katie loves most about GES is its ability to unite people from all different backgrounds, opening the door for learning and perspectives we might never have encountered otherwise. She’s especially grateful for the chance to meet and spend time with the delegates that continue to amaze me. She says the conversations she has had at the summit have reshaped her in ways that last long after the summit ends!
ZARA ASGHAR: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Zara Asghar is a junior from Cincinnati, Ohio, studying learning & organizational change and entrepreneurship. Since her freshman year, she says GES has been like a family on campus, hence why we call ourselves a “Gamily.” Zara says socially-conscious and hardworking young entrepreneurs meet at GES, and she can’t wait to keep growing the global Gamily this year!
JEB SCIPIO DEL CAMPO: INTERNAL RELATIONS CHAIR
Jeb Scipio del Campo is a sophomore from Toronto, Canada studying economics, psychology, and business institutions. He loves GES because of the visibility it gives to entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds. He says being able to meet amazing people and gain insight into what drives them is inspiring!
BRIAN HAN: DIRECTOR OF CONTENT
Brian Han is a sophomore from Los Alamos, New Mexico studying international studies, economics, business, and german. He said he had a great summit last year, and really enjoyed being able to meet all the passionate delegates and hearing their stories. He is looking forward to being able to help put on a memorable summit this year!
ANNIE BOMBACK: MENTOR RECRUITMENT CHAIR
Annie Bomback is a junior from Chappaqua, New York studying mathematics and psychology. Annie loves GES because it provides her the opportunity to both learn about and form connections with inspiring young entrepreneurs from around the world. She’s looking forward to continuing to improve upon the Summit to make it as meaningful and memorable as possible for our delegates.
NOOR MAGHAYDAH: DIRECTOR OF EXTERNAL RELATIONS
Noor Maghaydah is a junior from Ithaca, New York studying political science and international studies. Her favorite part about GES is being able to meet people that come from different backgrounds. She is looking forward to connecting and learning more about this year’s delegates and their amazing ideas!
sophia syzmanski: northwestern relations chair
Sophia Syzmanski is a sophomore from La Grange, Illinois studying chemistry and science in human culture. Sophia is passionate about propelling social entrepreneurship and collaboration internationally through GES and our summit. During the summit, she loves seeing the diversity of the ideas that delegates focus on and how the GES community unites to support them.
ella zea: social media and branding CHAIR
Ella Zea is a junior from New Canaan, Connecticut studying cognitive science, business institutions, and environmental policy and culture. Ella joined GES after participating in a similar program in high school, but was drawn to GES for its real, tangible impact. Being part of the organization has given her the incredible opportunity to meet new people, both at Northwestern and from around the world. She can’t wait for this year!
shalyssa burns: director of delegate outreach
Shalyssa Burns is a senior from Prescott, Arizona studying environmental science and legal studies. Shalyssa originally joined GES as a freshman to find an outlet for her passion for social impact projects at Northwestern, and she fell in love with the diverse community of changemakers all over the world that are connected through GES. She is constantly inspired by the initiative and determination of both GES staff and our delegates. Shalyssa is looking forward to connecting with even more delegates, NU students, and leaders this year!

Sophia Wagner is a junior from Chicago, Illinois studying history, international studies, and business institutions. Sophia joined the GES community to deepen her understanding of social entrepreneurship and world affairs. She looks forward to building strong relationships with delegates throughout the year leading up to the Summit and learning about their inspiring projects.

Sanjana Shankar is a senior from Barrington, Illinois studying neuroscience and global health. Sanjana loves that GES is a unique opportunity to meet young people from all around the world and gain insight into what social justice projects look like in today’s day and age. This year, she looks forward to meeting a new group of amazing delegates!
